Is Castile soap good for thin hair?

I have super thin straight hair some posters said I should quit washing it and it will get better texture. I quit washing for a couple days and texture got better but I feel like I need to wash since I get exposed to dirty stuff and carcinogens at work will Castile soap be ok for hair texture?
