Is fasting a good option for fat loss? Such as if twice a week you do a day without eating and only drinking water and such.

Will fasting fuck up my metabolism and muscle loss?

do you track your calories if you do then whats your protein intake daily
I am on adhd medication so it takes away my hunger so it’s not that hard to eat in a big deficit. My protein intake is kinda bad I need to get around 170-180g a day but right now I only get around 100g

if your in a deficit that big then you should be careful with your protein intake

Yeah I know I’m afraid of losing muscles but I want to get lean for the summer and need to lose like 5-6kg
then stay in your deficit but js make sure to get your protein in how tall are you and whats your weight

and how much are you eating im guessing your maintenance is 2900 it depends on how active you are
Yeah my maintenance is around 2900, I eat around 1300-1500 a day, I’m also thinking about doing intermediate fasting with 20:4 window

js eat 1.8k so you arent starving yourself how can you live with 1.3 im eating 1.8 rn and its lowkey hell but ig you said the medicine you take supresses your hunger

Yeah the medicine I take has a side effect that makes it almost impossible to eat feels like I will throw up

its fine then use that to your advantage you can keep your deficit js try getting closer to 170g daily maybe

Yeah my biggest problem is with protein intake, will also probably start intermittent fasting and see how it goes

thats why i adviced you to up your calories to 1800 i get my protein in without a problem

So it doesn’t matter if I do intermittent fasting? Such as doing a 18:6 or 20:4 window. Would that help in any way?
Whatever method you want to do that will make you not exceed your calorie intake for the day.

1. Calories in calories out. 2. Fasting(still drinking water) is a good practice for various reasons.

I personally love to train on an empty stomach and don't eat afterwards for a while. Simply because I like the mental state.

So the only things I need to do to lose weight faster without losing too much muscle mass is just being in a deficit with limiting carbs and getting enough protein and training,

I would limit fat not carbs. Carbs are anabolic since they allow for greater motor unit recruitment. Fat have nothing conducive to anabolism at all. 1g per lbs bw protein. And train hard.

Btw what would be the fastest way to loose bodyfat even if I might lose some muscle mass? Would just being on a bigger deficit worry?

I’m going traveling and there are many beaches and pools and such and just want to lose weight as fast as possible without taking things like Dnp. I am on a medication that makes my appetite that helps me.

So would working out and just doing a crazy calorie deficit for like 2-3 weeks be worth it or would I only end up skinny fat?
