Just got a word from my ortho, he says my maxilla is fine, it's the lower jaw which is over projected....
My instincts tell me something's bad.

No, it's not over. Get rhinoplasty asap though. Your nose is repulsing to look at. Try to bleach skin with hydrogen peroxide after rhino too.
