I keep seeing people talk about masseter training (chewing gum, jaw trainers, etc.) and I’m not sure what to believe.
Some say it helps widen the jaw and improve the lower third, others say it’s useless or just causes TMJ.

To anyone here who’s actually tried it:
Did you see real changes or nah?
How long did you do it for?
Any issues like jaw pain or clicking?

Yes helped with my jaw width, though I dont recommend doing with high set masseters as you will look bloated.

It works. Look at people with bruxism. :lul:

Just don't overdo it.

It's a muscle and it can hypertrophy. Anybody that tells you it's not legit is retarded and you can avoid tmj if you do it intelligently.

yes its legit, it makes the jaw wider by the hypertrophy in the muscle itself but also by remodelling. It also gives forward growth in the mandible and makes your ramus taller

I would be careful tho, don't chew too much or you're gonna develop TMD and if your bottom molar has shifted inwards (like my bottom right molar), its gonna develop your masseter in a round, unaesthetic way...

erm no i mean high set masseters…
Masseter insertions don’t exist either, it’s entirely based on your ramus length and youre mandible. If you have a short ramus you’ll have bad “masseter insertions” and vice versa, because your ramus is directly connected to the masseter. The longer your ramus, the lower and more aesthetic your masseter will be you need to be low iq to say ''low high set massaters'' + massater trainings can look good on good bases

They quite literally do exist, regardless of them being caused by your ramus length :lul:

Retard
Masseteric insertions obviously exist (Like any other muscle). The reason you'd have Masseters that look bloated if you had a short ramus is because the muscle doesn't have enough bone to lengthen and grow properly, and even if it did, you wouldn't be guaranteed to have good insertions
