is overhead press the best for bideltoid width

The taller you are, the more you will weigh.
Height + Frame, tbh. A tall guy with a narrow frame will not weigh that much.

And taller guys have a shorter range of motion when pulling from the floor.

So for a 6 foot 4 guy like me it will be 500 lbs while for a short 5 foot 5 guy it would be 450 lbs or a bit lower.
Not always.

If a tall guy has short arms (relative to his height) he will have a poverty deadlift (compared to his other lifts).

Meanwhile a 5'9" height guy with a 6'2" wingspan will have a great deadlift (compared to his other lifts)

Like I keep telling everyone since I joined the site, it's impossible to have a small frame when you are tall.
How wide your shoulders are has nothing to do with how much you can weigh because it only depends on the size of your lats for the most part and the size of your shoulders themselves.

But of course, nobody here is intelligent enough to understand this simple fact except for people who have achieved it. The whole framepill thing was made up by people who were either ectomorphs who have small lats or mesomorphs who never trained them and claim that they should be seen as THE example of frame.

However, photographic proof is undeniable, so let's have a look at @IwantToLooksMaxx 's transformation pics.

From narrow shoulders to wide shoulders.

But NO, according to the framepill it's not possible, OMG he must have photoshopped his pics or used pics of different people, or he is the exception. /s

Your bone structure is identical to mine. Your wrists are also 6.5-7” like mine. And I have people in my family who are “ectomorphs” like me and even though they do construction work they don’t build any muscle. You know why? Because their diet is trash.
I'm not denying the importance of diet, but what I am saying is that good training gave you your results.

If you had been using bad training programs that focus on machines, cables and dumbbells instead of doing high volume compound movements, you never would have made any gains. You got good results thanks to great training methods and good nutrition too. I'm not saying that training is rocket science, it's simple but the information is difficult to find and so confusing since everybody says different things.

Are you being sarcastic like I was?

No they were never broad. It's hilarious how even you, the person on the pictures, has been so brainwashed by looksmax lies, that you don't even see it.

You have wide hips like me, so your shoulders were narrow before, now they are much wider, because your lats are wider.

Narrow shoulders means that your shoulder to hip ratio is very small. Wide shoulders means that your hips are so narrow that your shoulder look wide even when skinny.

I can't wait to see how this entire forum is going to react when they see my transformation pictures and see me going from small frame to big frame just by getting bigger lats.

I'll debunk your made up framepill concept in just a few pictures, and then you'll feel stupid.

OK I see it now.

But still, the width of your shoulders has nothing to do with how much muscle mass you can gain, it's just that it will go in different areas of your body. So the framepill is still wrong.

It has a lot to do with how much muscle you can gain. If your shoulders are wide that means your ribcage is big. That means bigger pecs, traps and back muscles.

The size of your limbs is not defined by the size of one area of your body, it's defined by your height. If this was not the case, I would only be 130 lbs right now for the look that I have, since a shorter guy would be fat at my weight.

I have the potential to grow to 220 lbs at 15% body fat. But according to you 170 lbs is my limit, this is why you sound retarded.

That’s not what I said. Broad shoulders may have like a 5-15 pound difference compared to narrow shoulders. So if your maximum potential is 220, someone with huge clavicles may have a 235 potential.

6'1cel is right, lateral/side raises is indeed the best movement for hitting the parts of the shoulder that are most relevant for aesthetics and bideltoid width.

You can see in the chart above the bent-arm lateral raises have the 2nd highest lateral delt activation level after 45-degree incline row. Incline row is a good movement but honestly really shitty for overloading and getting a pump with because it is hard to manage the weight. Lateral raises is VERY manageable and a great movement to pyramid and overload on, the shoulder pumps you get from it are incomparable.

I have a feeling if the chart included LEANING cable raises instead of just cable raises that they would BY FAR top the chart. Doing lateral raises with a cable like this so the lateral delt is activated on all levels through out the entire movement is superior:

doing the movement like the timestamped part in the video is undoubtedly the best way to hit the lateral delt and get more shoulder width. period. ESPECIALLY since you can easily lower the weight and get pumps, and pumps + volume = growth.

if you do just shoulder raises you’ll get bideltoid mogged by the guy who has big lats AND does shoulder raises. It’s just a fact

@copingvolcel is actually right on the importance of back for looking wide. Yes, lateral raises grow your side delt and your bideltoid. This will make you look wider but you can't neglect back. Back is everything for looking big in a shirt. I made a post on it eons ago... the importance of interscye distance which basically measures your back size.

What he is wrong about though is that your back, like every muscle group is determined from insertions. If you have a highset back insertion it's basically over. You will look small in a shirt...

He doesn't seem to grasp these basic concepts on insertions despite acknowledging his poverty muscle-building genetics.
