Is Palate expander worth it?

I'm 15 and thinking about getting a palate expander I can't even have the proper tongue posture because of my narrow palate. I heard you get like a crazy spongebob tooth gap which you need braces for some people say it doesn't work some say it works I'm really confused to get or not get one what should I do?

ig it depends of the specific case, but yeah people usually get braces or invisalign after palate expansion. it is worth it especially if you are young, make sure to talk with your orthodontist about what your goals are and what you expect from it
