having bad undereye area is so annoying

so its indeed giga cope for eye shape change or protruding eyes

The tear trough implant is placed solely on the medial orbital rim, whereas an infraorbital implant is typically placed at the lateral junction where the orbital rim meets the zygoma.

🤔🤔🤔

From taban himself:
"Tear trough implant is practically the same as lower orbital rim implant. Technically, the orbital rim implant would expand the whole lower eyelid area whereas tear trough implant is mainly the inner area but the terms are used loosely. The important points are you want to use silicone implant as much less invasive and also use transconjunctival technique."

”They come in three styles, one performed and the other custom made. Most surgeons are aware of tear trough implants or what I call type 1 infraorbital rim implants. These are preformed implants that comes in three basic sizes, differing largely in their These are designed to fit on the front edge of the infraorbital rim and provide horizontal projection. The do effectively improve the classic tear trough deformity at the medial orbital rim by a release of the arcus marginalis and the addition of volume. But they do not provide any vertical rim augmentation and do not extend out into the malar region.”

Custom implants seem to be able to change eye shape a bit but not even in a good way

for good results you would need to pair it with lower eyelid retraction surgery or something like that but, honestly I think it would look uncanny at that point

agree, ideally pairing Lateral Canthopexy with implants will give better as it will tighten the lower eyelid. Its important not go overboard with implants, a lot of results i see look unnatural.

Yeah tbh be conservative with both surgeries and I think you can get good, long lasting results

too much cost and risk for me going to eppley and then a separate oculoplastic surgeon though - maybe if this was a more routine thing to do I would consider
