I thought of this once I saw that's what the 9/11 victims did, is that really painless though? I get it beats burning/choking to death but still sounds hard to believe there's not even a second of pain.

The nervous system probably wouldn't have time to register what's going on and you'd die instantly at that terminal velocity so it does add up

Only issue with that is it disturbs others if you care about that and you have to get up there somehow first
