I am losing weight by eating less and walking. Is walking briskly good enough cardio?

Yes but calorie balance is what matters. Losing weight without cardio is very possible too. Have you ever lifted?

Why walk when you can run?

yeah it adds up if you incorporate walking/standing instead of sitting during the day
brisk walking is a decent way to start by not putting excess pressure on joints

once you've lost a lot of weight, you can switch to running which will increase the calories you burn from cardio for the same duration

Going fully vegan has made it easier to eat more with less calories too

Walking hardly burns any calories:

"A rule of thumb is that about 100 calories per mile are burned for a 180-pound person and 65 calories per mile are burned for a 120-pound person."

And after you finish walking your body will make you hungry and you will probably just reconsume those calories that you lost.

Its also not very efficient for muscle building

I think so
anyway cardio doesnt matter that much compared to diet and walking is much more enjoyable

Depends where you live.

Not so great when you live in the middle of a polluted city.

Yes, I went from 78kg to 72kg in one month walking 3 hours a day, whilst doing no other exercises.

Taking niacinamide, aspirin or vitamin E (pufa free) will also reduce aging effects from lipid peroxidation (burning stored polyunsaturated fats).

At your weight running will hurt your joints. Walk and eat less for now.

The best cardio in terms of time spent is cycling. You burn more in 1 hour cycling than 1 hour running. You can do interval on a cycle too.

But in terms of overall growth running is better, as it involves all muscles.

To start with. As you lose more you will need to increase it tho

Few others things that i would suggest when losing weight (that I wish I knew before going from 98kg to 72kg):

1)keeping a 1:1 calcium to phosphate ratio, prevent bone loss, keeps parathyroid hormone low (high PTH causes soft tissue calcification).

2)taking bicarbonate of soda before workout, bicarbonates acts as a buffer to prevent the body from having to use bone calcium to balance metabolic acidosis due to lactic acid production from exercising.

3)avoid all grains, too high in phosphorus, anti-nutrients, round up, estrogenic, endotoxin promoting, keeps insulin elevated to long.

Root vegetables like baked sweet potato, and nixtamalized corn (high in calcium and bioavailable b3), raw sprouted lentils/chickpeas and other microgreen sprouts are good sources for carbohydrates and protein.

4)keep polyunsaturated fat intake very low, ideally < 4g. Pufa slows down thyroid function, promotes weight gain, estrogenic, cancer promoting. Stearic acid in saturated fats like cocoa butter and dark chocolate promote fat loss, lean muscle gain and prevent saggy skin.

5)nasal breathing only, mouth breathing blows out too much co2. High lung and blood Co2 is needed for optimal cellular oxygenation, as co2 releases oxygen from hemoglobin.

On walking, yes, walk fast, on an incline ideally over 10% for as long as you can, that is good low LISS, will defo lose u weight.

As the weight starts to drop add some compound moves with dumbbells or kettlebells in.

MOST important is calories and macros, and believe me doing both is hard. Limiting calories is easy, but with fucked macros, hitting macros is easy, but then your calories blow up.

Master this, keep consistent, and if u r legit fat fuck, u will see big difference in 4 weeks.

One warning, it has to get worse before it gets better. When a fat fuck first loses weight he looks worse, because there is less fat, but your body distribution and lipid density is shit, you need to get past that phase before u start looking good.

Oh and don't cut calries too much, I did it, and it fucked me cos my metabolism slowed down and I gained weight eating 1200 calories a day fml
