Anyone ever had this? I've heard of sleep paralysis before, but had never experienced it.
last night I had what I believe was sleep paralysis. the whole night was kinda weird. I went to bed at around 11pm. I woke up pretty startled at midnight, and I had a real eerie feeling as soon as I opened my eyes. I felt as if there was someone outside of my house by my bedroom. after making sure all the doors and windows on my house were locked, I figured it was ok to go back to sleep.
after going back to sleep or a little while, I suddenly woke up. a lot of people described sleep paralysis as not being able to move, but I felt as if I was being physically pushed down into my bed. I couldn't move my arms or legs, and the more I tried to struggle, the further down I got pushed. I sleep in complete darkness in my room, so it is hard to see in there, but there was a dark silhouette in the corner of my room. I know everyones eyes can play tricks on them after just waking up, but im telling you guys, I saw this figure. the strangest thing was the sound. it was a faint yell that was somehow loud as well. the whole time it went on, I kept trying to get my bearings. I really wanted to look at the clock to see what time it was, but like I said my arms were pinned.
I was sleeping but it was like half-asleep, and my bedroom door was open. I saw a shadow slowly approaching me, but I couldn't move. Damn, it was fukin terrifying.
