Just Realised Jesus Had A Bunch Of Brothers

Was caught in a bad storm in some dude's place and was flipping through his grandma's Bible to pass the time.

Was really shocked that Jesus actually had 4 brothers (named) and even according to one book at least 2 sisters (unnamed).

Every single Christian I've met assumed jesus was an only child.

Catholic/Orthodox says they were either adopted or stepsibling or “brother” is not literal, etc because then mary will lose her gimmick as eternal virgin. Other denominations said mary was a whore

Its clear that Jesus had brothers in the bible, for example James it is her younger brother. They argue that if its actually their biological brothers,sisters or just they are calling a close relative brothers sisters we don't know

Pretty clear Joseph & Mary had sex. Thus Jesus’s siblings are from Mary.

James is Jesus’s brother by adoption. He’s jeusss blood cousin but not “brother”


They aren’t his “real” brothers they are his cousins and brothers from jospeh but none are “Mary’s” children.

Remember the bible was COMPILED BY THE ORTHODOX CHURCH (Roman Catholics at the time were part of this church) the bible you read which says this is the same source that explains the relationship of Jesus and his “brothers” YOU MUST TAKE THE CHURCHES WORD ON THE BOOK THEY MADE. There is no evidence that they were his “blood” brothers in terms of biology but it’s clear James was mostly likely related to Christ as they were said to look similar ish. Ironically James doubted christs divinity until he touched Christ
