You'd have to be WAY under you caloric maintenance, or you'd have to spend a couple thousands cal a day, which is close to impossible either way.

Being in a caloric deficit by not ingesting food is a lot easier than having to burn them off once they've already been assimilated, which means you're gonna severely impede your performances simply to stay lean. It'd be dumb af.

Not sure which fools are telling you 6-8%, it's not even sustainable. 10-12% will be fine. A real 10-12% a lot of people underestimate their body fat levels.
