We see all the time. In fact I've just come from one of these threads now. A troll font or font with trollish tendencies posts a stupid thread for attention and instead of just ignoring the thread and making the op look dumb for begging for a reaction but not getting any, the knee jerk response seems to be to respond, and waste time going back and forth with someone who is probably laughing at you from behind the dusty screen of their device.
Is it any surprise that this place is like a playground for these people? If there is one place they're going to get the attention they don't get in any other aspect of their lives, it's here because a lot of you are easy bait and getting under your skin is so effortless. If you really want the trolls to go away (which I'm starting to doubt because there are a lot of people on where whose tendencies to go back and forth, to prove how 'intelligent' they are and to be SEEN/HEARD and to be rewarded with upvotes for 'checking' a troll, trumps their so called desire for the trolls to go away) start starving them of the attention and energy you freely and frivolously give away. If we all stopped responding to what are obvious attempts for attention they would go away because guess what...? They'd know they're not going to get what they want here.
It's fµck!ng simple. Stop being so reactionary and get a clue. It's honestly just as annoying as watching the trolls have free reign of this site. Most of you are over the age of 25 and even 40, going back and forth with these unimportant wind up merchants like how siblings under the age of 10, argue every bloody 5 minutes and it's sad. Giving the gift of your time to someone whose life means so little in the REAL world and most importantly, giving them the POWER to wind you up, is sad. Grow the fµck up.
