There's a statistic somewhere that 95% of all people who lose weight on a diet have gained it all back within 3 years.

IMO, its actually nearly fucking impossible to lose weight and keep it off, if you START OUT AS FAT. You will get hit with permanent fucking cravings 24/7, you will develop an eating disorder where you idolise food making you susceptible to binges, your hormones will work against you to make you perma tired and hungry. I'm experiencing all of these RN leanmaxxing.

"Just eat less" seems so fucking easy but its actually harder than climbing mt everest to the top, a constant battle with your own body's cucked homeostasis and hormones :blackpill::blackpill::blackpill:

do u mean exercise or like work and shit. I do uni online so basically have nothing to do all day. I do a good amount of cardio, 10-15k steps/day

No. Hunger isnt that simple. Everybody has their natural fat setpoint. If you've been in calorie deficit for a long time and are way below your setpoint, you will feel perma hungry, you will still crave more food when your stomach is full to the brim. I've experienced this first hand. Your body knows you are way below your setpoint and desperately wants you to eat everything in sight to compensate

idk i just find myself shedding fat (some muscle too) when i'm stressed and don't have enough time to get in much food. that works for me tbh. but stress can trigger binge eating so it can go either way depending on the person

Heres what you do. When you eat, leave food in the kitchen and sit at the table. Take a spoon, get up, grab food, come back, sit down, and slowly eat it. Do it until you don't feel hungry anymore. You will realize you eat way too much food when you put it all on plate.

Also limit to 2-3 times a day when u eat. dont snack

I think one's cravings are a vital sign where one stands metabolically and nutritionally wise, so it's best to listen to them

Honestly, such extremely autistic insane copes (just be stressed, just spend 1 hour walking back and forth to the kitchen) might be necessary to stave off the cravings

And what do those cravings tell you? They're all a way to cope with a certain bodily signal/energetic defiency, such as stress. One must refine these cravings and eat accordingly.

if youve always been skinny naturally, you cant hope to understand. The weight loss relapse stats are brutal

You just described the difference between genetically lean individual and genetically obese/overweight. Their homeostatic setpoints at baseline are different and this is key to success!

That's why you "refine" them. Really, our main cravings are just cravings of sweet and saltiness, the delivery method differs though, of course.

drugs arent a natural craving like food though

any kind of processed food is unnatural
most foods are processed in this day and age.

when you get hungry, you crave food. thats just how it is. hunger, a desire to consume food, is natural, while a desire to consume drugs, is not

It’s because their neurotransmitters are wired that way. Only way to change is to quit cold turkey
