Are you lazy? I certainly am. The general consensus is that building a physique is difficult and time consuming. This guide outlines the minimal effort, natural method I followed to build my physique.
Below, my 12 month natural transformation following this method:
1. TRAINING
From my experience, I have found that the intensity of your training matters more than anything else. I only lift twice a week, day A takes me ~1 hour and day B takes me ~1.5 hours
Here is the lifting program I followed throughout this 12 month period:
DAY A:
Weighted Pull-Ups 3x Failure
Incline Dumbbell Bench 3x Failure
Leg Extensions 3x Failure
Cable Bicep Curls 3x Failure
Weighted Dips 3x Failure
2 minutes rest between sets
DAY B:
Bench Press 4x Failure
Deadlifts 4x Failure
Cable Bicep Curls 3x Failure
Shoulder Press 3x Failure
2 minutes rest between sets
(4 minutes between deadlifts)
Every set to failure, but I do aim for between 3 to 8 reps.
I take three rest days between each workout.
That's it. It's not perfect, and there are probably a lot of improvements regarding exercise selection you could make yourself. This is simply what has worked for me. And yes, there is not a lot of volume for legs. But be reminded: the whole point of this guide is low effort for lazy people (such as myself)
2. DIET
Honestly, when it comes to my diet, there's not a lot to it. I do the basics, prioritizing whole foods & avoiding the majority of slop. I don't track macros or calories but I aim for a rough estimation of between 2700 and 3000 cals (maintenance to 300 surplus). If I look in the mirror and my abs have started to become less visible and I'm looking fat, for the next 8-10 weeks I simply eat 2 meals a day instead of 3. Again, this isn't the perfect guide, just the low effort method I follow myself.
3. MISC HABITS
The single thing which provided me the highest ROI on my physique was simply fixing my posture. Before, my shoulders used to round forward and I wouldn't stand up straight not only making me appear shorter but also making my frame seem narrower than it already is.
Sleep is also important. 8-10 hours everyday, the basic stuff most people already do.
FINAL WORDS
Building your physique is truly worth it, there's no better feeling than going from a skinny anorexic build to having girls masturbate to my photos.
I hope my guide can help at least one of you, and good luck.
