If you have a guaranteed reward then there's no such thing as procrastination. It only happens if you're doing something without a tangible reward.

Good thread.

I remember when i was working 3 contracts at home before my surgery and was taking home £100k pa. (sterling not dollar)

After taxes in the UK and student loans you are left with £4,500 a month.

That sounds like alot but i didn't feel "Rich" at all. You still live an "employee" lifestyle, no way do you have the time, energy, freedom to live a decadent lifestyle.

If you saved that for a whole year minus expenses £4500-£1000= £3500 £3500*12 = £42,000 a year spending money, that's hardly a rich lifestyle .
No fucking way u get taxed that much that’s fucking ridiculous and how much do u pay on student loan

Its not a problem for you since you make $500 daily from your imaginery youtube channel.

$100k - $33k for taxes - $36k rent - $10k lease - $6k food = $15k left to spend.
I have tried to explain this to fuckers but they don’t listen. My mum gets 45k paychecks once every 3 months and guess what we are broke despite this becwuse all the taxes and shit we have to pay it’s a fucking joke :feelswah::feelswhy: the only thing I see that won’t be effected by inflation is property

How did you make your fortune?

The NHS that won't give me bimax, won't give me TRT, won't give me dental care, and won't give me any service whatsoever beyond pushing shit I can buy on AIPCT for pennies.

Education system for kids I'll never have.

Universal credit that I'll never get despite being 2 years unemployed now because I have more than a laughable £6,000 of savings.

This country deserves to burn.

Couldn’t agree more. You touch on the welfare system which given our current government’s insane levels of corruption is even more ridiculous.

The idiocy of UK policy on controlled substances extends to potential nootropics too.

Let’s say I’d like some adderall to boost productivity and IQ and I know the risks. Nope, can’t have it, no reason given. Only if I have ADD, and to prove that you literally need years of evidence of people saying you can’t concentrate (school/uni report cards etc.), and be put on a specialised ADD program closely supervised by a medical professional for months on end.

Fine, I’ll see if I can get modafinil, again, I know the (very small) risks. Oh what’s that, I have to prove I have narcolepsy and lose my driving licence as a result?

Meanwhile if I want weed (which I don’t smoke) it’s the easiest thing in the world to get, in certain places (for example Brixton) I’m offered it within seconds of stepping out of the tube station.

The psychoactive substances act is a real piece of work. Try and import modafinil, or phenibut, or any other nootropic that isn't explicitly mentioned and it can still be seized under that catch-all bullshit.

Not everyone lives in whatever liberal shithole you live in. $3k/month for rent is fucking insane outside of commiefornia and new York. Here in the Midwest and most other states, $100k goes very far. I live in an upper middle class neighborhood and never paid more than $1.5k/month in rent for a 1br. And who the fuck is spending $500/month on food jfl? :soy:. I spend, at most, $200/month on food. And maybe another $50 if you Include takeout. Lease? Not everyone needs some new car every year. I never lease shit. If I can't buy in cash, I don't get it.

Wait are you an accountant do you have a degree?

Bro pls teach me fuck man i need that 100 k income man

Its much harder now, as most companies want people back in the office, but i got these contracts during the lockdown and they stuck.

Yeah its just applying for remote roles and stacking them up.

You need to have some experience for them to trust you to work from home. btw im only two contracts now, not three as i was before surgery.

Im not fully chartered, I dont want to be. but I have a degree in business. This is just a stop gap to get my surgeries and my investments going. Hoping to retire and start investing in property in the next bull run.

Ok, and that's why you're not different than 95% of normies who live a modest employed lifestyle where you have to ask your boss for vacations and check your bank account before buying something. It doesn't halo you at all.

Jfl. I go over my personal finances here and made a couple threads on this. I have enough money saved up and invested to not have to work for years if I didn't want to:

https://looksmax.org/threads/financial-independence-before-35.330218/

It all comes down to your age, goals, and location. I save up to 70%+ of my income. I use this money to invest and savings. You don't even need $100k. You can do everything I'm doing on just $40k if you don't have a big spending problem, are young, have no debt, and live someplace where the cost of living is relatively cheap. Back when I earned minimum wage, I was still saving like $500+/month. You seem to be very young and don't understand the power of money and how you can make even just a little money work if you know how to. And virtually no one under 30 is making anything near $100k unless they got into STEM, which is a small minority of the population.
