I broke my right shank in a skiing accident when I was 13 yo and had to wear an external fixator with four large bone screws afterwards. One scar spontaneously opened up and started bleeding 8 years later - it has long been healed up completely - with minor pain when walking. Caused by a pathetic vitamin C deficiency. In other words: the operated tissue will always remain a weak spot and can loose integrity even under laughable circumstances such as poor diet. yeah its best to be tall naturally, but nothing comes for free. you have to choose your cards right. imo i think its one of those things you have to choose for yourself, theres no right or wrong answer.
