CELLULAR MECHANISM:

- When bones are subjected to stress, the pressure causes micro deformation, resulting in fluid flow in the canaliculi where the osteocytes exist. The osteocytes then release chemical signals triggering osteoblasts, INITIATING BONE FORMATION.

- By altering the synthesis of various signaling molecules, osteocytes orchestrate bone remodeling in response to mechanical stimuli at ANY age.

- Heres what most people DONT know about: applying STATIC PREDICTABLE force actually IMPAIRS bone formation, while dynamic pressure of less/equal pressure enhances bone formation on both endosteal and periosteal surfaces.

- Massage guns apply around 0.4-0.6MPa's of force, research studies found that bone responds with the most growth to 0.8-1.1MPa's of force, much different than a hammer.
A typical massage gun with a little bit of force on your end would reach that threshold.

MASSAGE GUN SMASHING PROTOCOL:

ZYGOMATIC REGION: Ideally when you're smashing regardless of the tool, you don't want the swelling to completely die down. Once every day or every other day would work depending on how long it takes to recover.

SUBMENTAL/CHIN REGION: Once every day until it swells, again, you can use the swelling as an indicator but you don't want to go too harsh on the bone regardless, use your instinct

Whenever you're smashing, make sure to cover the area with a CLOTH or any object of that sort so u dont end up retarded. Good luck

Investing at 1 rep
also why cover with a cloth so i dont end up retarded how would that help? not let skin break or asymmetricalness?

Less CTE + skin irritation, make sure to use a bullet head attachment as well, vibrations reach deep into the bone so you dont need direct skin to gun contact

thank you mirin, and how do you make sure you dont make the bonesmash asymmetrical?

is there any specific massage gun reccomended @daudthe1_ ? good thread aswell, bump

not necessarily, don't go too overboard with it buy a regular massage gun, js make sure you use a bullet head attachment

For real don't know of any examples of someone who became asymmetrical by bonesmashing, the worry is way overblown. Just count reps or time and do the same on each side. You can develop asymmetries from doing literally anything physical but it's only a big worry when it comes to bonesmashing, kind of weird

I'm sure a massage gun is fine but people can just use their hands too

CTE from a massage gun? absolutely not, not enough movement, don't even worry about it, far better than a hammer

and no, a cloth would not prevent CTE at all, it would make absolutely no difference, besides for maybe helping one avoid acne.

Retarded. Massage guns fire at 3200 impacts per minute / 1MPa's of pressure, enough to rattle your brain and lead to brain damage overtime. Even if it DIDN'T cause degenerative disease it'll definitely cause an ischemic stroke or brain bleed or any other sort of hemorrhage, it's a massage gun ffs. If it provides enough pressure to borderline fracture your bones and cause subperiosteal hematomas it definitely provides enough pressure to cause neurological issues. The cloth absorbs a small quantity of force and also prevents you from damaging your skin. Stupid ass greycel.

you are so mad, i perceive it, except that it does not matter if your brain "rattles"(it won't), there is physically not enough force to even move it slightly, your head is barely moving by half a centimeter, but alright, buddy.

nothing to do with that buddy, it's not hitting your brain, nothing can hit it besides what pierces your skull, what matters is how much your brain moves and deforms on impact, there is physically no way for it to even be phased by the massage gun.

How am i mad? You're typing a bunch of bullshit and expect me not to reply :ROFLMAO: i just explained why it's enough force to move it and you're still on about "it's not enough force", what a retarded argument

you are mad, I can see the rage from behind my screen, look how many emojis you are using, it is not enough force to cause CTE, period, I do not care what you say.

Appreciate the effort. Mind telling the exact routine like how long a bs session lasts for you and how many sets for which area you do and how long you perform a set.

Also you said that Massage guns apply around 0.4–0.6 MPa of force, while research studies have found that bone responds with the most growth at around 0.8–1.1 MPa of force. So what is the ideal level of a massage gun to bs. I mean my massage gun has 4 levels of how fast it vibrates idk about other ones but which „speed/force level“ would you go for.

Would appreciate some help I js wanna ascend.

I don’t know if most massage guns have a speed setting, but mine does it has 5, 1 being the lowest and 5 being the highest, what speed do you recommend I use?
