If you learn ratios well enough just look in the mirror and see what’s off as this works best,
Then you can directly target your flaws.

Not really, bad MFR is usually a symptom of an actual flaw - that's about it. IPD and any feature in the midface has influence on the midface ratio.

Sean O Pry for example has 1.1 midface in some pictures, but his skull index is Meso and his face doesn't look visibly "squished".

DiCaprio is a Euryprosopic which is what actually gives his skull that "squished" look.
