Mewing + Braces/Retainers

I have braces, my teeth are being moved outwards slightly. Will mewing benefit me any with these braces on? Also, will elastics pose a problem? I’m 16 as well, so I’m hoping that chewing and mewing will be adequate, though I’m willing to look into face pulling. I also plan on not wearing my retainers so I can achieve results

You can do it
it will atleast prevent your palate from narrowing but dont except good results at all
Your ortho will decide if he wants to use elastics or not
