haircafe vid talking abt how minoxidil and finasteride helps in anti aging and skin health bc minoxidil is "the only drug known in existence" to increase elastin (which is a structural protein in the skin that provides elasticity obviously) production in the skin and upregulates anti aging proteins and downregulates proteins associated with proteins and by Adding finasteride you get the additional benefits of accelerated healing of sun dmg to the skin by suppressing the effect of DHT in the skin

sources are in the vid if u wanna check, i dnr tho

You don't get the dht blocking skin benefits from finasteride, only from dutasteride

Fin only blocks Typ 2 alpha reductase, which is responsible for the hair but not the Typ 1 alpha reductase, which is responsible for the skin and is also blocked by dutasteride

oh yea i didnt add, he said finasteride or dutasteride and used this study for it "https://pathsocjournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/path.2444"
basically saying that dht inteferes w wound healing and that " inhibition of 5a-reductases either topically or systemically might represent a new therapeutic strategy to accelerate healing in elderly males" so its not sure actually just a suggestion but thanks for saying that, i didnt know

Wow your source is a junk click bait video.

Cool story bro. Literally everything is either wrong or materially misrepresented.
i mean maybe idk, theres studies backing what he says and again i didnt read them but he did show it on video. could b wrong tho

he showed studies so how would i not believe him and again it is my fault bc he didnt say it was 100% true in the video but that it was a suggestion so i guess i interpreted it wrong

Yeah bro using 50x dosage of minoxidil on rats for elastin generation is obvi a valid and relevant method. Ofc this is ignoring that similar studies also showed it inhibited collagen formation at that dosage. All while larping that retinoids don't exist.
yea youre right, i didnt know it was higher dosage, i should've read the study its my fault sorry gng
