This is a over detailed analysis of my experience so if you want a tldr go to the bottom
Probably a lot of spelling and grammar mistakes in this because I did it relatively fast so please forgive me for that.
Please also consider that modafinil doesn’t work the same for everyone, there have been people on here that describe it as a magic pill and there’s also people that say it doesn’t do shit for them. This is my specific experience.
For background I am currently a freshman with grades I personally am not satisfied with (D in biology and C+ in maths) I have trouble focusing on things that don’t normally interest me and if it’s really bad I almost fall asleep. This is also my first time using any stimulant besides caffeine (which doesent work for me.) I ordered this from indiamart so if anyone wants the vendor hit me up a dm.
I slept pretty bad (Went to sleep at 1am and woke up at 7:15)
I did some research before hand and decided it would be best for me to take it as soon as I woke up. I took 200mg at 7:15 with some water.
After this I tried my best to delay eating breakfast and ended up eating a slice of toast at 8:00. (This was done to prevent the absorption being delayed)
When I got to school (8:35) I went to my first class of the day (math) and it seemed to have kicked in without me noticing, for the first time of my life I was actually interested in doing math problems.
Now I can say that the first effect I instantly noticed was that I had ZERO procrastination, this is usually a very big issue for me. I ended up asking a shit ton of questions to the teacher and made alot of notes since I never understood it beforehand. This made me WANT to learn and understand it. I left the class and my teacher actually seemed like she was proud of me for once
My next class of the day was art. Now at first I thought it would be useless for the medication but I was wrong. Like before, I just asked a shit ton of questions to the art teacher and applied what she said. Normally I procrastinate in art and get absolutely nothing done. My project went from 10% done to 60% done.
After this I went to lunch. At this time I wasn’t hungry at all, I knew about the diet suppression so I wasn’t alarmed by this. However I still made myself eat some chicken since I didn’t want to lose weight or get my growth stunted from not eating (don’t know if the stunt thing is true or not lmao but I wasn’t risking anything)
After lunch I went to biology. Now I usually struggle a lot with this subject, so much that I lost hope for it at a certain point. This changed. Like before, I asked a shit ton of questions and made very detailed and specific notes. She gave us a talk on evolution and natural selection and then tested me on it. I went 10/10 for the test she gave me. After this we got a chance to correct our wrap up tests. I got a wrap up test back that was 0/10, I instantly grabbed my book going to the all the sections that I was tested on and reading through it with ease with zero stalling or procrastinating. I handed it back to the teacher and I’m confident it’s either a 9 or a 10 now.
My classmates literally thought I was a skinwalker because of how different I was.
After biology I had free block which was the last class of the day for me. I instantly got out my math notes and started practicing for an upcoming test. I checked my answers frequently and did not rest or procrastinate once. A very important detail to mention is that during the entire school day I didn’t check my phone once unless it was a call,
this was a first for me. For the first time my phone actually felt like a tool and not a needed dependency.
After I got home at 3:45 I could feel the effects fade by half. The drug still has a half life so it’s semi-active right now but I know it has somewhat faded because I have returned to procrastinating a bit.
THIS WAS FUCKING GREAT
TLDR with pros and cons
Took it at 7:15 and for 8 hours I felt like the guy from limitless
PROS (things that I have currently experienced today not long term)
Eliminated procrastination for me
Great motivation
Was able to study, listen and work in ease.
CONS (things that I have currently experienced today not long term)
Heart was beating pretty fast during art (12:05) but not dangerously
Diet suppression (just have to thug it out and eat anyways lmao)
SLIGHT effect of jittery hands (not really noticeable unless someone is staring at your hands and this is usually temporary.)
Stopped overthinking in conversations and stopped having really deep thoughts (this is personally the biggest con for me but for other people this might be a pro)
Music was less enjoyable (probably from the wakefulness and alertness but I wouldn’t worry about this as it will fade as the drug fades)
I plan to cycle this to 2x a week to avoid tolerance build up
Keep in mind this is my personal experience and should not be used as a reference for you, remember to DYOR!
The half life probably helped me not procrastinate to make this thread
