First we must understand why Vitamin D is so important
Vitamin D has a crucial role in calcium homeostasis and metabolism in the human body and consequently is considered important to maintain bone health1. Furthermore, vitamin D plays an essential role in the modulation of the immune system and the regulation of body cells’ differentiation and proliferation.
The major rout of vitamin D biosynthesis (Calcitriol) in human body starts with the direct recipient of sunlight (UV-B) through the skin (1). Now, deficiency of vitamin D has a negative impact on bone health, muscular system, fertility and immune system. Besides, vitamin D deficiency more likely to be a risk factor for many life-threatening and debilitating illnesses such as various types of cancer, osteoporosis, infectious diseases, type I and II diabetes mellitus, autoimmune disease and many other consequences.
Low levels of vitamin D are linked to increased risk of cancer, diabetes and Crohn's disease, Hobbs says. Vitamin D is needed to maintain normal blood levels of calcium and phosphorus. It also helps in the absorption of calcium, helping to form and maintain strong bones.

Why do Muslim women have a severe vitamin D deficiency?
Vitamin D deficiency in pregnant Arab women requires urgent attention
Pregnant Arab women have an "extraordinarily high prevalence" of vitamin D deficiency -- a potential health issue for them and their babies, according to a new Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center study.

Pregnant Arab women have an "extraordinarily high prevalence" of vitamin D deficiency.
The vitamin deficiency is largely due to how Arab women dress outdoors – preventing exposure of the skin to sunlight and subsequent vitamin D intake.
Blood vitamin D levels in adults of less than 50 nanomoles per liter are considered deficient. In this study, 76 percent of the women had blood vitamin D levels below 25 nanomoles per liter – an amount considered very low by any standard. In addition, these pregnant women had low levels of dietary vitamin D intake and low rates of sun exposure outdoors.
Extreme Religious Perceptions and Vitamin D

In some cases, they take extreme actions and cover even their hands and the whole face. In the extreme behaviors, their body becomes deprived of receiving direct sunlight and, vitamin D.

The prevalence of vitamin D deficiencies was 55.0% for covered and 20.0% for uncovered students. The vitamin D status was found to be statistically significant and had a negative correlation with the duration of Islamic dressing (P < .05, r = -0.334). We concluded that the vitamin D levels of young women are associated with clothing style, and the age at which a female begins wearing Muslim style clothing is related.
Do women in hijabs have a greater risk of vitamin D deficiency?
The late fall and winter months bring a whole new set of challenges with them, especially health concerns present during this time of the year.

The more conservatively each woman dressed, the lower her level of vitamin D was recorded. Those who wore the hijab but also ate vitamin D-rich foods such as oily fish or fortified milk had higher levels (though not as high as those who did not wear hijabs).
Muslim women are not the only people who face this problem
Ultra-orthodox Jewish children who covered up in long sleeves and dresses were also found to be deficient in Brooklyn according to a study published in Pediatrics in 2000.

Pregnant women who have a Vitamin D deficiency have a higher risk of pre-eclampsia and premature delivery.
Studies also indicate that women born to Vitamin D-deficient women can suffer from conditions such as schizophrenia, asthma and some forms of development disorders.
TLDR;
There is absolutely nothing "BaSeD" about making women cover themselves from head to toe like @Manchild suggests because it clearly leads to severe Vitamin D deficiencies, as evidenced above, which is horrible not only for you health and longevity but also for the health of your offspring.
I'd rather reproduce with a healthy woman that has a higher chance of giving birth to healthy offspring than a woman with a lower chance.
