I found a valid strategy online i back tested it on fxreplays and forward tested it too
I have been hopping strategy to strategy with not much luck. Found a couple but not as profitable as i wanted it to be so here is my current one:

Future trading on Micro or just e mini NASDAQ or S&P500

Go to 5 min Time frame. Wait for the full 5 min candle of 9:30 NY time (session open)

Measure it using ruler tool on trading view. range should be for
MNQ: 20<x<85
MES: 4<x<12

Avoid high impact news trading times (can be seen on forex factory)

Mark the highs and lows (even the wicks of the candle) of the first 5 min. Then wait for either side to be broken by a following candle as seen in the pic:
1779988979372

as you can see one candle closed out of the bottom. but the candle after closed back in range. NO CONFIRMATION

But then later we see that big green candle broke outof the range and closed AS WELL AS the candle after that that still closed out of the range. this is a confirmation of a continued up trend.

Then scale down to 1 min time frame and look for either fair value gaps or use the fibonacci OTE to find an entry to a long position as seen in this example.

1.5-2 RR normally but i stick to 1.5 to pass my eval propfirm i sometimes do 2 RR if i find a very clean setup

Feel free to ask any more questions and how to size it but rep me so i dont fuck up my rep:post ratio

This works best with futures. Intially i traded MNQ which works quite well but i sometimes find it way safer to trades MES instead only because there is less wicking and false breakouts.

Vice versa for short positions.

Make sure you journal. Trade with 0.7-1 percent account size based if you are trying to pass an eval

STICK TO THE RULES. IF ONE OF THE RULES FAIL= DO NOT TRADE THAT DAY. For example i did NOT trade today because my 5 min candle was out of range point range and it was too big so i dodged a MASSIVE bullet because later on it did the opposite of what was planned.

@myosin @Jesus_ist_König idk if you r intereted in this

If you want here is a PDF version of this guide.

Its more detailed.

disclaimer: i AI generated it from claude and it has a bit of dodgy text due to some formatting issue and this is not my original strategy but from this reddit user called Imhim

Because most people in the trading space are scammers. I am fed up with people try to sell a course. so i gave you my thing for free. Feel free to try it out and back test it yourself

Understandable loads of people lose money. I also invest alot into stocks and just let that sit. Other day i was up 15 prcent for investing into quantum computing
Oh my god. EVERYONE LOSES MONEY. EVEN THE BEST DAY TRADERS WORKING IN BANKS LOSE MONEY. YOur target is to make more money than lose money.

Mate if you read the thing i have not come up with it myself. Anyways alpha decay does NOT happen at this tiny of a level. And its a niche kinda strat. IT WORKS, I use it

Yeah propfirms are good. I try to avoid suing my own money. But u have to be careful since many propfirms will find ANY reason to terminate your account and deny a payout, its so easy to lose an account if you haven't read the rules in detail

You gotta be retarded
They lose money overall
97% lost actual money and 0,9% made profit but less than minimum wage and 1,1% made more than minimum wage but less than they would in normal jobs which they could've gotten with the same capacity investments
I've rarely seen someone this ignorant and stupid

Your stats are not accurate.

i found the reference to the study you were making and its mostly inaccurate.
IssueExplanation
0.9% made profitThe actual study found 0.5% earned more than a bank teller's salary, not 0.9%
Brazil-specific dataThis study examined Brazil's equity futures market (2013-2015), not global day traders
Minimum wage comparisonThe Brazilian minimum wage is far lower than UK/US minimum wage. This doesn't directly apply to London traders
"0% made profit"Actually 1-20% profit somehow, but only ~4% make a living from it
This argument only comes from 1 brazillian study.

But your argument is retarded. Its a fact you will lose money, everyone loses money in trading. You are trying to make a profit out of it. If i made a profit which i did, your argument is completely irrelevant. So i dont know why are you stating these random stats that have no difference to anything to what i said.

1 percent doesnt mean anything, you can say 1 percent otu of 1 million which is 10,000 people

And the whole study is flawed:

Red FlagWhy It Matters
Only 1,551 traders tracked after 300 daysTiny sample for claiming "97% lose money" universally ebicapital
Only 8 people (0.5%) earned more than a bank tellerExtreme outliers make percentages shaky ebicapital+1
Studied Brazilian futures, not stocksFutures trading ≠ stock day trading; completely different markets investing
Data from 2013-2015Pre-Robinhood, pre-commission-free era. Modern retail trading is unrecognizable investing
No bank teller salary comparison for UK/USBrazilian minimum wage = ~$16/day. UK minimum wage is ~£11/hour. Doesn't translate ebicapital
Ignored traders who quit earlyOnly counted those who persisted 300+ days, likely excluding the biggest early losers ebicapital
Top earners had massive daily swings ($632-$3,308 std dev)"Successful" traders faced insane risk—one bad day wipes out weeks ebicapital+1
Authors stated conclusion upfrontAbstract says "virtually impossible" before showing data—bias toward negative outcome papers.ssrn+1
No analysis of why 1.1% succeededDoesn't explain what made the winners different, just that they existed reddit
No behavioral/strategy analysisPurely statistical; ignores risk management, psychology, strategy differences reddit
Critics called methodology "absurdly flawed"Practicing traders pointed out serious flaws in how data was collected and interpreted reddit
Overgeneralized to global marketsAuthors claim it applies to US/UK, but it's Brazil-specific with unique conditions investing
Top earner made $310/day with huge riskEven the "best" trader had volatility that would make most people quit ideas.repec+1
