I was planned to get jaw surgery through the public healthcare system here in Italy, but got cucked out after the first two appointments after they decided to stop going forward and not continue anymore.
Which I'm alright with, as I'd prefer going private to have the sense of security of being able to choose what surgeon will operate on me (I don't want to be some surgeon's first patient and get brutally botched), and I also get a saying in the aesthetical outcome of the surgery.
Since I'm from Italy I have access to plenty of highly praised surgeons so it shouldn't be difficult to find the right one.
In the meantime while I'm searching for the right surgeon, all I'm left with is this ceph graphs I got done in the hospital without even getting the measurement values. Does anybody have a clue how to read them? I look utterly recessed in them which checks out, but I just wanna know how bad it is.
Is it just the lower or also the upper that's a problem? Is the mandibular recession severe?
I am partially compensated by Invisalign and class 2 elastics, I stopped treatment halfway as I realised what those bastards were doing was utterly useless and would only make things worse for later.
I'm just looking for opinions, I know my surgeon will handle everything but I want to at least know what he'll do to my face.
