I work with procurement officers and bid / contract teams. They sit around and laugh all day. They are just good negotiators and have soft skills - things I'm not good at. That's why I sit on my desk with a calculator doing all the 'dirty work' and they sit at their desks talking with clients how their weekend was.

More people orientated and Project management, than nerdy with numbers.

You are new. But the good thing is I've become indispensable to my company. If I leave I'm basically irreplaceable. That's gives you leveraging power. So if you can combine three roles into one and deliver you get more flexibility, more power at negotiating table etc. So I'd stick with the job btw. Im supposed to go into the office 3 days a week but this year only been going in 1/2 times a month. They won't force me back because they know I'm gonna go elsewhere.

I was a new hire, my exp was contract admin and client liaison in government plus systems support. She literally did not train me at all.

She Just handed me an excel spreadsheet and said "do a gap analysis"

Then the next day she tells me to do a "data flow" and find the info from the AMU document

Doesn't even give me the file path on sharepoint which had dozens of folders with hundreds of sub folders.

They kept panicking and pressuring me to do it faster as they were "going back to market"

I was the cleanup guy for their mess. Way underpaid for the amount of work I'd been doing especially with zero context or training.
