My MARPE Before and After - Stronger/Higher Cheekbones and Upturned Orbitals

i will get 5-6mm, would that be enough to get wider cheekbones ?
Yes, you will definitely notice a difference.
Your orbitals got wider as in you have more white show in your eyes now?
Don't think so. I already have pretty nice hunter almond eyes so I think that helps me with that.

Grats man. Just watch out, SARPE won't get you cheekbone gains or nearly as much nasal breathing gains. Have you tried expanding without surgical assist yet?
I wana do it to fix a tiny little recession of my maxilla and premaxilla how much mm would I need for the maxilla to rotate that bit?

Ask me anything.

Nasal breathing gains are the best part.

IMO, MARPE/FME should be the first step on anyone's surgical journey. :D
this kinda gives me hope i did marpe and saw a very small gap like not even that big and i didnt thing i got much expansion but i think it happened inside my skull and it just showed some of the affect on the gap. i thought how big the gap between my teeth is how big the expansion is

Yeah, you could probably due with a bit of expansion to fix ur buccal corridors. All expansion is limited by the width of your mandible, so if you feel like you have some room to expand, then go for it.
telling an african to get MARPE is almost sabotage, but I'm not going to act like I don't support it

Hello bro my cheek bone is not that bad but my palate is narrow also I can placed my tounge on . My main concern is enhancing cheekbones which maybe also help in hunter eyes and nasal breathing will better where did you done your surgery? And how much cost it takes and braces is required after that . And and most importantly in which way you asked ur doctor to do that like if I go to and if I say I wanna make my cheekbones wider he will humiliated me in 100 langauge help brother

One more question( I asked one before ) but I basically asked a Ortha for a palate expander and they said no, not at your age (I am 17-18) . They said bc the stuture is closed, it wouldn’t work and you would need a surgical way of opening it. Is that what you did? Or is that not the case and could u still get a pallate expander at 18?

You can probably get the suture to split at your age. I'm 25 and it split for me with no surgical assist.

how long did it take to expand by 5mm?
and how long did it take to close the gap
how much did u pay?
Took me 3 months to expand.

I wore invisalign throughout the whole process, so no real "gap", but the teeth got rotated, which didn't look great but the invisalign would hide it.

All orthodontics essentially wrapped up around month 8 for me.

Total, probably paid like 15k (6k for MARPE, 9k for ortho).

When you expand, the maxilla halves don't just go perfectly side to side, they rotate a bit. With this in mind, the center of that rotation goes down while the edges (the cheekbones/orbitals as shown above) rotate upward.

Hope that makes sense.
could you circumvent this by mew mewing ? i know mewing in adults doesn't do shit but surely when your maxila splits that little bit of force can prevent the lengthening?
