And water I guess, but on insta you can follow loads of people at your uni that you've never met and you'll get lots of follow backs if you have lots of mutuals. Not gonna help you make friends, but you can easily get some girls to meet up by DMing them if your insta is goodUnfortunately it seems that the most NT degrees and the ones with the best career prospects mostly exist on opposite ends of spectrum.
There are other ways to socialmaxx though, mainly meeting people in accommodation (your own and pres / flat parties) and joining a sports team (most of the main ones are drinking clubs in disguise). That's the 2nd paradox of UK uni life: you will be isolated (from NTs at least) if you don't drink and party, but obviously doing that heavily is a big looksmin and will harm studies.
Most people go nuts with the socialising in the first year because it's typically easy and the grades don't count towards your final degree classification.
Also you will be able to apply for most graduate schemes with any degree but they are quite competitive.
None of this is really exclusive to uni but I think girls automatically feel a little bit more comfortable knowing you're also a student at the same place.
