Narrow Palate

I’ve known about mewing for over a year now, but my tongue is unable to physically fit on my palate. I’ve measured it to be 26mm wide, what methods are there other to mewing that can expand this width?

I’ve actually never had braces and my midface is short but I can’t swallow correctly and as a result have large buccinators.
