Narrow pallate

When i was Younger I got an ex Pander because my left top canine (I think) didn't develope properly, I didn't really use it and now I've had braces for 3 years, a premolar pulled, Its hard to Breathe through my nose, and my front top Row of teeth are horizontally Side ways. What can i do to stop this ruining my life? Or has it already. Theyre thinking of putting a metal Rod behind my teeth but i think thatll ruin my chances of fixing it later or having expansion.

ask for a proper cbct scan and see if there are any airway issues. imo it's best to listen to the proffesionals but still stand your ground and voice ur concerrns

I went to a Different orthodontist and he Saw all the problems, he reccomended double jaw Surgery but he couldn't help me as I had braces in from a Different ortho, I'll definetly ask though. Thank you

if it requires DJS and it is reccomended by ortho you might be able to get it covered under insurance. but one thing u do have to rember is that djs in this case won't be for asthetics and they won't prioritize that, i know the bigger fish is probably your teeth and breathing but it's just somethign to note. good luck on ur journey
