What am I expierencibg involving my biceps?

3 days ago i decided to go high volume 5x30 5kg dumbbell curls with like a 30 second test inbetween, obviously the reps were fast asf

this was also after not training biceps for about a month

My goal was to get a pump

4 days later my bicep area is in a lot of pain and it’s getting worse

I’m at the point Where I can’t fully extend my arm, pain moving my mouse affecting my Fortnite skill

Also the pain did not happen straight away after these curls, it was gradual

Have I pulled the muscles or something like that ?

Yeah, sounds like you pulled a muscle. Whatever the case, it will pass.

If you pulled a muscle you’d know, the pain is unreal, and you don’t just feel it after a day.
What you have is soreness from overuse it happens once or twice after you start lifting, gradually you won’t feel soreness after workouts, just wait it out and stretch, it’ll go away with no problems.

Although Im not used to the kind of volume I did on my biceps

This is really bad pain I literally had to cut Fortnite with the boys early because it hurts to move my mouse

I literally have to rest my arms at a right angle to stop the pain

If it changed color you pulled a muscle otherwise it’s probably just strain from the high volume (why the fuck would you do 30 reps). Get some ibuprofen and you’ll probably be completely fine in a week.

I tried ibubofren gel and it didn’t help at all


And I was trying to get a pump for fun honestly

Gel won’t do shit get the pills, try ice cold water for inflammation if that shit doesn’t work. (Or go to a doctor nigga don’t ask on Hinduism.org)

If it doesn’t recover properly you may lose mobility like before and it’ll take a long time.
If it was a tendon you’d be in the hospital rn, it changes color and pain is excruciating, you’ll be fine.

It’s not excruciating, it’s just very sore round that area and my movement is restricted

How long will i take to recover you think ?
Depends on your age and how good your genes are. Also how often you use the muscle you pulled. I'd say it should be gone in a week and a half tops if you take it easy on it.
