[study linked below] the study has not yet been peer reviewed. the study’s findings suggests that vitamin D supplementation decreases myostatin and increases leptin sensitivity which in turn results in more calories being allocated towards muscle growth than fat storage. vitamin D may essentially have hypertrophic effects. this doesn’t mean you should eat a ton of food and supplement vitamin D. if you are eating at maintenance or in a surplus of any size, vitamin D supplementation may be a good idea. there’s nothing to lose from vitamin D supplementation but it could possibly increase hypertrophy while definitely being a role in healthy testosterone production. take vitamin D3

note: the study didn’t specify the vitamin D dosage but anywhere from 4k+ is great (within reason)
