Not sure if this applies, but how do you set up an orthodontic surgery or appointment, and how long does it take

I've heard others tell me to get double jaw surgery or trimax surgery with CCW rotation, but how do you set an appotment up

You first need to get a referral from your ortho to a jaw surgeon, jaw surgeon sends case to insurance (If he deems djs necessary), then decomp (6-24 months), finalise surgery plan (usually a month before surgery), then surgery.

You won't get insurance bimax anytime soon if at all.
You need to have a small airway, malocclusions etc.

What are valid reasons for getting a referral? Could facial recessions be a valid reason (if you need photos, I can provide), especially if it's due to mouth breathing? How does asking for trimax surgery differ from asking for double jaw surgery, and how do you ask for counterclockwise rotation, or is it just recommended?

They will look at your cbct, your intra oral scan etc. You probably already have intra-oral scans if you ever had braces. Its not really up to you what they do with your jaw with an insured bimax, they might show you a few variations with different outcomes.

You need to have a serious enough malocclusion, aesthetic reasons will be rejected immediately.

I haven't gotten braces before, nor did I get intra-oral scans. I'm not sure if I have any malocclusion issues, but I do suffer from severe mouth breathing recessions (from childhood), which I heard orthodontics could fix, but not sure if it's a valid

Orthodontics only camouflage the teeth, do your lips touch? You need to get a cbct first. You aren't gonna get a trimax insured just because some kid in the tiktok comments recommended it.

Lips touching? Sorry, but could you expand on that?

if your mandible is severely recessed (like you said) and you havent had camouflage braces yet, your lips arent touching. Or at least look weird.

I feel like I can’t really trust my own judgment but this is what it looks like

Is it better to wait until 21 to get surgery, or at least until that's when the bones fully develop?
Bro, you won't be getting surgery in a month, it will probably take at least a year from now, best case scenario. You havent even seen an ortho yet. Expect it to take at least 2 years from now till surgery.

Ok but if I’m not eligible for ortho what else could I do? As my side profile is still bad

Oh so even if not eligible I can still get bimax ? If so could I add CCW rotation or no ? Also what country would you recommend ?

First save money and do extensive research, I am not the best person to ask about surgeons or countries. I will do all of my surgeries in Western Europe. You are getting way ahead of yourself.

Alright money first but what should I do for my recessed infras and mid face ? Seen in the photo ?

Again, getting way ahead of yourself. I am in the process of infra-malars right now and first appointment till surgery probably takes a year (took 4 months from contact till first appointment)
