Obesity is a hormonal epidemic, however, estrogen and insulin dont paint the whole picture.

The unmentioned hormones that I'm referring to that actually cause obesity are ghrelin and leptin. Fat people often have a shit ton of fat cells which means skyrocket high levels of ghrelin and leptin.

A super high ghrelin means they have a giant appetite, and a super high leptin meaning they need more to feel satiated. The amount of overweight and obese people with the mental capacity and willpower to actually lose weight is almost less than 1% due to the above traits. Being fat is associated with a bad mental willpower, low IQ, and low inhibition. Because of this they are not capable of being thin in environments where food is cheap, caloric dense, and unhealthy. This is why the US is the fattest country on the planet. Cheap, unhealthy, calorie dense foods like pizza, McDonald's, hamburgers, ensure they cannot be thin with those foods available for low prices.

Speaking of this, There was a study on biggest loser contendents before and 6 years after the show. The average contender succeeded in keeping at least 37 pounds off compared to themselves before the show. Their leptin actually didn't rebound from brutal starvation and exercise regime which is a good thing as a leptin of 41 ng/Dl is extremely high. Fast forward After the show their leptin was 27.68 which is still too high, but a large improvement.

Essentially, telling a fat person they can't eat is like telling a normal person they can't breathe.

Everything that doesn't undergo intentional improvement will get worse

leptin makes u full wym

Fat people have high leptin which means they need far more food to feel full and they have super high ghrelin, which means they are constantly hungry due to their high fat cell count.
