One great political move by Putin no one is talking about

Many of soldiers in the russian army are chechens and other ethnic minorities. This would mean Putin could continue the war without losing his political base if the war doesn't go as planned as the ethnic russians don't care what happens to muslim chechens unlike their own people.

I believe the main Chechen caravan is still enroute - saw a vid about it yesterday. Even if Russia were to start losing and retreated, they could nuke everything into oblivion. However, I doubt they will suffer such great loses that would affect the demographics of the country. Their main goal is to occupy regions of Ukraine and eventually absorb them into the federation; which happens to be the only logical reaction to US/NATO's eastward expansion.



Had US/NATO pulled out of Eastern Europe like Putin had asked and he still invaded, then he could be proclaimed a full on tyrant....but at this point who can you blame?
