Minoxidil doesn't grant permanent results, it simply adds nutrients to the follicles to extend the anagen phase.

It doesn't actually make the hair strands longer inherently in the sense that the hairs don't just "grow"

Hairs go through a cycle of growth, being static and shedding. It increases the growing phase of the cycle, hence the hairs grow more and faster indirectly.

Once you hop off your growth phase slows down more hence they return to normal

No extra back, abs or chest hair and I shave my abs, chest, shoulders and back of neck so I would have noticed. Also comically boosted eyelash growth, they went from already being long to mogging basically 100% of women even with their cope mascaras. Lashes got a bit thicker too. Eyebrows maybe a tiny boost but I think they look the same.

Also I got ZERO bloat, I take around 1~ mg sublingual/oral minoxidil daily, works terrific, no more messy scalp application and easier to be consistent and I got even way better eyelash growth; I had boosted eyelash growth from systemic absorption of topical minoxidil on my front scalp and temples which was ridiculous enough already but the switch to sublingual/oral took them to the next level.
