This is my plan for orthopedics maybe by chat gpt

Full Script to Say to Your Orthodontist
“Hi, I’m 13 turning 14 soon, and I’m still in my growth phase. I’ve done some research and I’d like to ask about using a Modified Twin Block appliance with a midline expansion screw. I have a slight mandibular retrusion — about 1 to 2 mm, and I’d like to guide my growth to get a more projected chin, stronger jawline, and slightly lower gonial angle through counter-clockwise (CCW) mandibular rotation.
I’m not looking for maxillary retraction at all — I want to preserve my current maxillary projection, which I believe is already well-developed.
I’d also like to achieve a small amount of upper arch/palatal expansion, just about 2 to 4 mm total, to balance my bite and improve arch coordination. I’m not looking for RPE — just light, slow expansion built into the Twin Block appliance.
So my goals are:
  • Mild mandibular advancement (1–2 mm)
  • Counter-clockwise mandibular rotation
  • Improved chin projection and jaw angle
  • Slight palatal expansion (2–4 mm)
  • No maxillary retraction. Would a Modified Twin Block with a midline expander be appropriate for this?”

because my mom them a photo that I made that shows that i have slight mandible recession and they said I should “ stop looking at the intenret”

I’m 13 I haven’t what should I know
the first thing you should know is that they all have massive egos, and won't even accept a plan from another orthodontist/maxfac, let alone a patient, let alone a child

next one is that they hate when a patient comes in with a specific treatment in mind, they want you to tell them your "symptoms", and they want to "prescribe" you the treatment, they see it as a big red flag when a patient wants an exact thing, "I’d like to ask about using a Modified Twin Block appliance with a midline expansion screw"...

another is that most of them are quite basic, and most likely won't have what you're looking for even available, so expect to have to comb through many until you find a "good one"

okay thank you, should I just write a bunch of orthodontist in my area emails and see who responds?

they said I should “ stop looking at the intenret”
however unfortunate it is, at least from my experience, all of the ones I had spoken to gave off the impression that they prefer a patient who is completely clueless

is it because a clueless patient is less likely to judge if their work is subpar?
or maybe because they feel like knowledgeable/experienced patients have very strict requirements as to what they expect from the treatment, to the point where pleasing them is very difficult?

I don't know

I'd forget "your area" and look directly for the ones in the capital, or perhaps another major city, and if your country is a small shithole, then maybe look to a bigger, more developed one

one strategy could be to look for a maxillofacial clinic, or surgeons, and email them asking which orthos they prefer, work with, or think are decent - or direcly ask for a consult with a maxfac

another strategy is to look at their price lists, and see what kind of procedures they offer - if the only things you see are dental implants, invisalign, extractions, or maybe veeners, then it's probably a low tier ortho

90% of orthos are just invisalign conveyor belts, you have to look for ones who frequenty coordinate with maxillofacial surgeons to find those that have the necessary skills

It’s prob because it’s a lot more extra work and then don’t feel like it or something idk

The closest one for me is like 1-2 hours away I would but I don’t think my parents would let me go

just remember you're not going there everyday
more like once every couple weeks

nothing ever happens
