Aliexpress expanders are cheaper but require more IQ and the quality can be questionable. I would buy them at bracesshop, they are more expensive, but they are custom made and made so that you can use them very easily, and you may need an MSE instead of an RPE. Although I think that is from the age of 18 from what he investigated.

Id just put spacers in them and manually customize them by moving the arms of the thing around till they fit. Will probably fuck everything up tho jfl

There are different types of palate expanders the one I got were in a twin block set and thus there were no rods on them, just plastic covering
