Palate expander at 15?

I want to ask for a palate expander, can they refuse to give it to me because they think I don't need it? My palate is lowk kind of narrow. What is the best way to ask for it??
I already have braces btw

If you can mew without touching your teeth you don’t need one. You will get more forward growth from mewing than with an expander.

Constant pressure from tongue on upper suture of mouth will take advantage of pubertal growth + soft bones and result in better facial aesthetics

Neck curls and chin tucks will give you more gains cus more force being applied to the palate by strengthening tongue muscles

my tounge is barely touching my teeth on the sides when im mewing but I notice that it's touching my right teeth more than my left. Could this be asymmetry?

crowded teeth is a big sign that the palate is too narrow, but now that ur nearly finished with ur braces treatment it might be too late for a palate expander, expansion is suppose to be done before or at early stages of braces

idk how low inhib the doctors are in your country but I talked to mine about getting mse (im 15 for context) and he said he needs to do a clinical evaluation which I didnt end up going with since I have a decently wide palate anyway (10 teeth smile), but if you prove to your doctor that you are knowledgable in the field, explain honestly that its for aesthetics and your clinical evaluation allows for the palatal expander to be installed, then I dont see how the doctor would say no


if your parents allow or not is probably the biggest hurdle

Isnt mentioning that it's for aesthetics a little bit autistic since I'm so young. And my parents will definitely allow it if they don't know that it's just for aesthetics
