palate expanders don’t help aesthetics

i have a narrow lower-third and i was hoping an expander would help me widen it at 16

however after talking to three orthos, they all said the same thing; thags it’s really unlikely for an expander to change your skull a significant amount, or even enough for it tk be noticeable. and it will not widen your jaw.

is this true?

it makes sense tho, a minimal amount of expansion would barley expand your bones enough to be noticable its not worth it
