Why would they pay, most are probably employed, their bosses pay taxes not them, only in US you have to pay your own taxes, seems pretty stupid and annoying, in my country at least regular people don't have to be concerned about taxes:
- you have a job - your boss pays the taxes, you just get the cash in hand
- you make money from interest in the bank: the bank pays the taxes and deducts them from the profit you make.
- you win money at the lottery, gambling, betting, etc. - again, the gambling companies pay the taxes, you just receive the money directly.
- etc.
