After taking Accutane and every single antibiotic and topical, including adapalene, tretinoin and all similar, my acne keeps on coming back and the biggest part for at least my situation is the PIE that it leaves.

To be honest, it looks worse than regular acne because regular acne inflammation goes down and can sometimes be hidden and just look like redness, though PIE and other scarring is impossible to hide. I have it down the sides of my face from my temporal down to my jaw on both sides and encompasses, the side burns in my face all around and it looks like a Roman helmet of PIE tissue.

Going months after Accutane, my dermatologist try to get me to cope that it would go away after it, but my acne still came back, and PIE and scars did not.

For anyone trying to clear it up as best as possible I would recommend honey masks from a high-quality source and low UV sun exposure. That’s the only thing that really has dialed it in a little bit more for me, but as I keep breaking out every once in a while for whatever reason, combine with other things, it’s so constant I can clear it up to make it look good and then it’ll be back in the next day.

I wouldn’t recommend Accutane and would stick to topicals, focus on your diet and lifestyle, from the guy who’s done everything and has had the most severe acne types.

Im currently on adapalene with the motive of reducing acne. Should i stop using it or check if it might work for me as ive seen it work for a lot of people, so maybe it'll work for me too. It could be that ur type of acne is more stubborn or sumn.

You have to find a topical that matches the type of acne or problems that you have. Adapaline is a retinoid which basically means just increases cell turnover which actually would make certain types worse

I have it too and i just started using azelaic acid i litterally searched everywhere and it always said azelaic acid 15% it will take 4 to 6 weeks to see some changes and i think thats the only topical solution you can also do lasering im not sure what its called but it literally takes like 4 trips to the dermatologist

That never worked for me, but it could just be a personal case. Yeah lasering exists. It’s like one and a half grand. The problem is with the small breakouts that I get sometimes the scarring can come back, so I’m just trying not to waste my money.
