After taking Accutane and every single antibiotic and topical, including adapalene, tretinoin and all similar, my acne keeps on coming back and the biggest part for at least my situation is the PIE that it leaves.
To be honest, it looks worse than regular acne because regular acne inflammation goes down and can sometimes be hidden and just look like redness, though PIE and other scarring is impossible to hide. I have it down the sides of my face from my temporal down to my jaw on both sides and encompasses, the side burns in my face all around and it looks like a Roman helmet of PIE tissue.
Going months after Accutane, my dermatologist try to get me to cope that it would go away after it, but my acne still came back, and PIE and scars did not.
For anyone trying to clear it up as best as possible I would recommend honey masks from a high-quality source and low UV sun exposure. That’s the only thing that really has dialed it in a little bit more for me, but as I keep breaking out every once in a while for whatever reason, combine with other things, it’s so constant I can clear it up to make it look good and then it’ll be back in the next day.
I wouldn’t recommend Accutane and would stick to topicals, focus on your diet and lifestyle, from the guy who’s done everything and has had the most severe acne types.
