The only bastion of Europe that looked like it might actually stand against the globalists has now been turned into a yet another left-wing pro-open borders shithole.

Just admit it. It's over. All of my earlier predictions about the "rise of populism" being nothing more than a temporary and mostly meaningless fad is revealing itself to be true. So called populists are completely powerless and are not making any difference. Trump isn't making any difference. Brexit hasn't even happened even after 3 years. And now Italy has just lost it's populist government and is about to be replaced with a yet another leftist regime.
