I had a presentation to give this morning in thr group meeting today. It was a routine quality control meeting nothing special but this was the first time I was given the opportunity to present it. I had my presentation ready, rehearsed my points, but at the last minute, the projector wouldn’t connect to my laptop. Turns out, the cheap spare USB-C cable I bought only charges the device and doesn’t transfer video. There was an HDMI cable available, but my laptop doesn’t support that since it’s a newer model. I had to improvise for the next 20 minutes by sending the presentation over MS Teams and discussing it that way. My team leader seemed disappointed and mentioned that I should always carry a spare flash drive and a few dongles and adapters for situations like this—it’s basic corporate etiquette, apparently.
