is primal diet cope or does it actually work? I find it hard to believe that my body will function without any carbs. maybe i’m wrong about what primal diet is, only meat and raw dairy?

have you seen the split they put both groups on? that split would absolutely rape someone with low glycogen
change the splits up to a low volume high intensity high frequency split and you'd see even LESS of a difference

how much of it can you attribute to high carbohydrate versus smarter programming, improved form, etc
also, you being a newbie, you do not need high carbohydrates as you cannot recruit as many motor units as someone with years of experience can

in the context of carbohydrates people cut them out for health reasons so to know that their training wont be significantly impacted by this is reassuring

1. youre a complete newbie (mechanisms of fatigue arent as strong on you because you aren't lifting heavy loads)
2. you switched from an absolutely horrendous split to a good one
3. you cannot calculate how much gains were made from high carbohydrate versus improved programming & form
4. im not denying high carbohydrate is undoubtedly better, im saying if everything else is ideal or nearly ideal, it makes only a small difference
my point was there isnt a high difference, you havent addressed any of the nuances i've made in the study i sent you, such as the retarded high volume split

i dont like ZERO carbohydrate diets, thats retardation
but a low carbohydrate diet can work (you will gain muscle and strength in amounts that you can see and be happy with, if you are on the newer side to training, which is below 2 years of serious lifting or so in my opinion) if:
you're not working like a dog before you workout
your life is stress free
you program intelligently
and you eat your carbohydrates only before you workout

There's something to it if you look at the skulls of hunter gatherers but I think it is more than just eating raw meat. Retards here seem to forget that hunter gatherer includes the word gatherer which refers to foraging for wild veggies fruits and mushrooms
