Purging phase with tretinoin

I'm gonna start using tretinoin in a few days I was wondering how long js the purging phase?1 week? 2 week?

Well shit...my school is gonna start in like 38 days or smth...I'm gonna start tretinoin in like a few days..I don't wanna go to school all purged out covered with acne...can a tinted sunscreen fix this?
