the concept of improving oneself, particularly aspiring to some kind of Nordic ideal, is by a margin the thing the mainstream is most terrified by. Every argument made by either political side is essentially them arguing how best to avoid a eugenics cult reappearing. on the left they oppose working out, encourage women having children later, encourage drug use etc. on the right they say abortion is evil because it's eugenic.
