regular braces with rubber bands

currently i’m 17 and i’ve had braces for 4 years because i used to refuse to wear my rubber bands for my overbite. now im wearing them but im worrying if they will cause recession in maxilla and any other falios, i’ve also had 4 extractions for wisdom teeth. what should i do.

the bands alone wont do shit as long as they didnt extract premolars or gave you headgear
