Minoxidil “rapes collagen”
Finasteride “kills dick”
Accutane “gave someone lichen planopillaris”

All of them are temporary and unlikely to happen if it doesn't get into the eyes, apparently.

The study mentions 'retinoid therapy'. This could be interpreted as topical or internal use

However, retin-a is of course absorbed by the body and goes systemic. So, either way- the study holds

cope. this site is surgeons / dermatologists who always discount sides and keep prescribing their money maker treatments

only have to look at the overwhelming anecdotal on reddit to know that there is a link between chronic dry eyes and retin a

I literally just started this shit. Anyways after months of endless research I've seen no mention of the sort. A clickbait title and you know it. Fillers are more likely to cause vision loss.

All this shit is really whether you play the gamble. For some it's a good play for others not so much. I still think this is a bullshit post.

im not saying it can cause blindness- just a deterioration in vision quality

and after say, 30 years of use, the chances of developing chronic dry eys is quite high

It's fucking over if a blackpilled looksmaxxer opts for retinoids instead of fixing their diet

Yes but the body will adapt. Your tolerance will go up. Not sure about the dry eyes, again I've never seen it mentioned other than starting the active ingredient

Every drug / supplement got his side effects. Go google side effects of vitamine C pills, even at low doses or random other stuff and you will never want to eat oranges again. There are even scaremongering documents about people stopping eating eggs or other animal products and suddenly their permanent pain and inflammation stops.

You have to asses the potential risk and benefits of certain "products" too see if you want to use them and then use them yourself to see if you get side effects. Just because 1:100.000 gets side effects while that person could be 90 years old and full health problems doesn't mean you have to stop using a certein products.

I could probably give you for every product you use an example of someone who got injured or nasty side effects using that product.

absolutely agree. just for me I have dry eyes already and don't want to risk it

and I don't really like to bother wearing sunscreen all the time

I'll take a few wrinkles over that. but for others they might want to take the risk

brutally over for your iq if you're not aware retin a goes systemic and any side effects seen with isotretinoin will be associated with retin a to some extent

Topical tretinoin will never ever get to the levels that are accrued from isotretinoin. Not ever.
If you are still worried about it however, use Adapalene. It is slower acting and way less drying but it works. I've been using it for over a decade.

thanks- do you only use adapalene?

Adapalene is not as effective as tretinoin for anti-aging unfortunately but it is more effective than nothing. I only use Adapalene and a moisturizer. I use Olay Micro-Sculpting Cream. My skin is not perfect though. Tretinoin is harsher but more effective. I have been contemplating switching to Tret but you can buy Adapalene for $15 otc.

Jfl at these so called looksmaxers scared of everything LOL AT YOU HIGH INHIB LOW T PUSSIES , IT WONT DO SHIT TO YOU START IMPROVING INSTEAD OF BEING SCARED AND ROTTING

Send me your address please I swear to god I will ER you for being so fucking stupid.

Retinoids (especally strong ones like tretinoin) will travel and go into your eyes even if you don't put it on your eye area, be extremely careful boyos. Retinoids = poison for meibomian glands but ofc doctors don't know and won't tell you about it when they give it to you.

Not saying this will happen to you, you may be the best retin-a responder ever, but this kind of stuff is good to know.

If anything this is probably a better reason to use a lower percentage, which you should be doing anyway. 0.025%.

Also I would probably trust the OP of that post but not the commenters, people can develop dry eyes for a variety of reasons, considering the fact that it is going to be winter for the majority of people that use reddit, lower humidity can also cause dry eyes. Just don't believe every single person and remember tretinoin is the most prescribed topical retinoid and 99% of people aren't going to experience side effects.

Alpha as fuarrrk

and I'm actually serious about that

Lowest T thread I have ever seen

RetinA is way way way less of a dosage than isotretinoin(accutane)

It is topical and a far smaller dosage
